how can i restore "desktop" to my properties choice box next to screensavers ect?

when i click on properties to set or change my desktop display i cannot anymore it is no longers showing why??? how can i get it back..please help

1. software conflict or malware, what did you install?
2. If this is your computer at work, its usually set as a "group policy" and you cant change it. Otherwise try control panel/display

4. Most likely malware or something, same thing happened to me. Follow this link here, http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/downloads/cleandesktop.exe it'll remove all spyware, malware, ect., and you can change the desktop display again. It worked for me. What did you install that you think would have the spyware in it? I hope all of this helps at all!
