i have downloaded a 3D screensaver but dont have the software to run it. what do i need?

1. Well where did you download it from, if it was from Popular Screen Savers, then i don't see why it doesn't work, maybe a firewall. I might have a solution - make sure your on the desktop right click, click on Properties, (a box should come up) click on the screen saver tab, and find your screen saver, click on it and then click preview, if it doesn't work then it probably says to go on this site and do something. If it doesn't then i don't know. ( You should download screen savers from http://www.popularscreensavers.com )
2. Sounds dodgy, and screensavers are a common source of spyware problems (or worse) - generally avoid anything which requires installation of additional 3rd party software.
