delete screen savers from XP?
screensavers that come with XP can not be deleted like win 98 or ME. Once they are deleted they return in just a short time. I was told that XP has something built into the system that looks for certain files & returns them if they are missing. I need the space & want to get rid of these screensavers. I was also told that it can be done but I can't find out how. Any help?

- yes you can delete them start search for files and folders type *.scr then search to find a list of screensavers delete the ones you don't like
- yes xp has a feature like that. right click on the My Computer select Properties you should see a tab called "System Restore" check "Turn off System Restore". then delete what ever you like. but use this at your own risk.
- All Screen Savers are located in the directory C:\WINDOWS\system32 (in case ur OS location is C:\ ) It also has the (.scr) extension.! enjoy it ;)
