Screen Savers Depot

Why does my computer run faster somedays and slower on other days?

I have 76 % free space on my computer . Does screensavers and such take up much space or make my computer run slower ? I have downloaded a LOT of different screensavers .

  1. The speed your computer runs depends on the processes that are running while you're using the computer. If you're doing something more process intensive, i.e. scanning for viruses, then your computer will run more slowly, if you're not, then you're computer will have more RAM to allocate to what you're doing.
  2. i learned that the screen savers do actually slow it down. its true, so keep it at none. even with xp, you will figure it out someday
  3. yeah it could be screensavers, but it would run slow everyday. A good reason for your comp. being slow inconsistently is if you are on a wireless network or if other computers are hooked to your network. You may not be the only computer on your wireless network though you think you might be. People near by could be using your wireless and with all these people connected, it'll slow you down from time to time, especially if the download big files from the internet. Also, those screensavers you download inevitably will install spyware and adware on your computer with every download. And if the spyware decides to start running, it'll slow down your system. Spyware destroyers sometimes won't detect everything.
