Why Do Animated ScreenSavers Disable Windows XP Power Saving Features?

I have tried several Screensaver but none allow the PC to Standby etc. Is there a way to overcome this?

1. Use standard pre-installed screen servers that comes with Windows XP. By installing 3rd party screen server you might be exposed to further problems with your system such as power saving features, adaware etc
2. It's best not to use animated screen savers because they use someof your PC's power and might even crash.
