Can wallpapers and screensavers of Windows xp folder be deleted?

Is it safe to delete the wallpapers or screensavers that came with the windows xp or should I just leave them as it is?

1. You can delete them if you want. Just make sure you know what files you are deleting before you go messing around in the C:\Windows\ directories.
2. Sure you can delete them--but why would you waste your time? They don't take up much space or slow down your computer. §
