screensavers.com -- is it safe to download from here?

Well this ad popped up http://try.screensavers.com/landing/screensavers/screensavers_28.php?banner=3d-ss-wait-720&aff_id=fclick and it looks awesome...and I want it :] ...but I also want my computer to continue to function properly. I know in general it's better to ignore these pop-ups and not download screensavers, which is exactly why I'm asking here--please answer if you've ever downloaded a screensaver from there or know about (and if it hasn't messed up your computer) the link is safe to click--it's the pop-ups url, so it won't lead you anywhere or do anything if you just open the link. I'm only providing it because it shows the awesome screensaver in case any of you are curious. also, I'm really cautious about downloading stuff--I've never downloaded anything from an unfamiliar website, so please don't assume that I'm reckless with my computer

  1. not to sound harsh, but NO000000000000000! Screensavers.com is loaded with adware... You will find yourself having a slow computer with lots of pop-ups. Screensavers are one of the most common ways to get spyware/adware. So don't even consider it. If you really need screensavers, be very sure it is safe. Hope that helps yee!
  2. NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! They guy above is right. My sister did and I hate the day she did it. Why don't you try making your own screensavers??
  3. I would never go there. Go to http://giveawayoftheday.com/ instead, they are giving a screensaver for free today. But you have got only about 15 minutes, so HURRY!! You can check in that site every Saturday and Sunday, they provide a free screensaver on either of these days. :-)
  4. i have down loaded and unistalled this trick is go slow read all info check for check marks all ready checked this is with anything you install in future i have reloaded this no problems if you do all above i have super fire wall virus protection and pest control software now that i did all above no problems at all go slow with any downloads
