I have windows vista hp and am having problems finding downloaded screensaver files?

I went to screensavers toolbar icon. Used it and was taken to "Popularscreensavers" . I then proceded to download 3d animated screensavers, watched them download to "my screensavers" The download was confirmed. I then went to my desktop and found only the sample screensavers that came with my computor. I am missing a stepp or something? I am as new to this as this vista op system is . How do i get my screensaver files from " My Screensavers" to run on my desktop. when im not online... I am new to this so please someone explain in plane earth english like"first click this and then that" The help is well apreciated. I have been on the phone with microsoft who will not give me an answer as they do not give tech support advice for thereown operating system and keep telling me to call the manufacturer of my computor!!!! I called them and they tell me to call microsoft!!!!!! My computor is brand new (5) days... PLEASE HELP!!!!!! Where are my screensavers :{o .

  1. They are most likely in one of your download folders if not in your windows/system32 folder. Screen savers usually have the extension .scr, so do a search for all of your screen savers with that extension, put this in the search criteria, *.scr . OR go back to the site from where you originally got the screen savers and select one, right click, go to properties and look for the name of that particular screen saver. Then go back and do a search on your c:/ drive for that same name or partial name and you should come up with the location. Good Luck.
