- From memory I think they are *.scr files stored in your WINDOWS directory. I guess you can just make backups of these files, and copy them back in to restore them. Do a search for *.scr on your hard drive.
- they are usually saved in c:\windows\system32 and they have an .scr extension but unless you have your folder settings to show extensions for known file types you won't see the extension. if you created a screen saver try using the search function to see where it was saved to. sorry I forgot to mention to make backups just choose the ones that you want and copy and paste to a new location of your choice.
- Savers are usually in the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder of your hard drive. They have an .SCR file extension. If you can't see the file extension names open Windows Explorer (shortcut keys are Window's Logo key + E). Go to Tools | Folder Options | View tab | and uncheck the "Hide extensions for known file types". This will allow you to see all the file extension names. Some XP savers are: ss3dfo.scr, ssbezier.scr,ssflwbox.scr, ssmarque.scr, ssmypics.scr, ssmyst.scr, sspipes.scr, ssstars.scr, sstext3d.scr.
