i have a dell 1545, brought it 2months ago. Screensaver was working fine before but now it doesn't work! i have the following message '"the screensaver can't run because it requires a newer video card or one that's compatiable with direct 3d"'

you probably need to update your video card driver.. go to the makers website and download the latest (and you may need directx installed )
It's possible your driver has become corrupted or the card is failing. Look in device manager.. You might need to be logged on as an administrator in order to do this. To open Device Manager, click Start, and then click Control Panel. Double-click System. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. See if there's a warning triangle next to your graphics driver. If that's the case, try rolling back/updating the driver. If that fails or you don't have one to roll back - look on the munufacturers site for the correct drivers for your OS. If none of that works... Get a new card.
