I renewed and downloaded my antivirus software and now my screensavers won't work?

Instead of my screensaver popping up, I get this message, "Could not detect the Direct3D device." I've gone into control panel display and all of my screensavers say, "no preview." Any suggestions on how I get this to work again. The antivirus software that I have is Trend Micro Antivirus. Thank you to anyone who can help

1. Alot of Screen Saver Software these days have bad adverts or Spyware / Malware installed along side them causing pop ups! What you might find has happened by updating your Antiviris it might have seen one of the Screen Savers or all of them as a threat to the computer and remove them or apart of them! Which would make sense why it won't work now! I don't really think its worth having the Screen Savers on there if you ask me as I don't like them and have seen too many computers running so badly and slow and have too many infected files and viruses on the machine just from someone downoading and installed Screen Saver Software! Might be a good thing it has done what it has done! Might have removed the pests from the machine! Only thing I can say if you want them back that much is try downloading them and reinstalling them again! JubeiTigeruk
2. I have noticed that the "Free screensavers" downloads that flash onto your screen or those littered practically everywhere on the net are really scams to sell you Spyware and Virus and Malware protection. Along with screensavers you also download all sorts of nasty porn pictures to instigate you to buy their stuff. Avoid them. Whatever you do don't click on the pop ups. Well then call them up. Do a search for then on the web and get their 800 number under contact us and tech support will walk you through. Good luck.
