why does my cpu fan make more noise while a 3d animated screensaver is running on desktop? whenever the screen is idle, a 3d animated waterfall screensaver comes up. i have put it myself. it works, but while it is running, my cpu fan noise goes up.

PC Screensaver just stopped working? Hi! A few weeks ago, my screensaver just stopped coming on. I did a defrag, scan dick, virus scan, even did a registry check, all to no avail. My screensaver settings keep changing...? at my home computer which noone touches by the way, I leave my PC on for long periods of time. I set my display settings to "screensaver flowerbox 3d" after 5 mins. and "shut off monitor" after 10 minutes. Then I click "apply" and "ok" normally the PC does this things but once in awhile I noticed after coming back to it that the monitor isn't off or a screensaver isnt on. I go to check out the settings and lo and behold the screensaver setting is off. what gives? why is this the case? i do not believe it's spyware. I have AVG and I have it on everyday. Ive done scans and no spyware/viruses to be found.
