Yeah I have windows xp MCE kinda getting boring cause I use to have vista home basic until it crashed and wiped out my recovery partation so I got windows xp MCE and got bored so i made a dual boot so I can use windows xp MCE and Windows vista home premium lite edition I activaed it and updated it but im just wondering is it a real Vista just edited to be much less memory i download at masterfree.info windows vista lite oh and by the way I used my activation not theirs I don't do illegal stuff so is This a real vista that just been modified and is it legal It seems to have all system files including real vista features but no screensavers or microsoft games (I took them from my old OS windows xp MCE not all of them worked)

How do i find subdirectory %windir%\System32 in Vista? - has to do with custom screensavers? yeah so i found a cool screensaver online which i had previously downloaded for my old computer which had the XP operating system on it, so i just right-clicked on the desktop, went down to properties and did it in a snap, easily. but i don't know how to do it for Vista, so i found a site, here it is: http://www.vistaheads.com/forums/microsoft-public-windows-vista-general/102439-install-custom-screensaver.html the person said i need to copy my .scr file to the %windir%\System32 directory. i tried searching for it in the search bar located in the start menu but i didn't know what to do after that because there were like thousnads of file folders and i didn't want to mess anything up, like was i supposed to drop the .scr file into one of those or...? i tried looking for a filder that was called %windir%\System32 but did not see one, nor did one show up when i searched yet again in that window. if anyone knows and wouldn't mindhelping me out that would greatly be appreciated. :D thanks!!

Need to figure out how to add a folder to the registry for a screen saver..to edit it, how? Not much to add...There are some other reasons... but anyway, I want to add the folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Screensavers\Aurora Aurora being the folder being added. Why does my screensaver return to 'none'? my windows 98 screensaver always returns to none no matter what I do. Even if I use stock Microsoft screensavers or password protect them. Can you help me?

my husband and I share a computor his site is slow and my seems to be alright.? we may have a pirated version of windows xp installed at my husbands former employer we are not sure but my hubby allowed Microsoft updates to be installed. Now he says Microsoft gets in and has screwed up his site. It won,t let our computer have screensavers and won,t let him into his email. What can we do we are both seniors and can't afford a new systym. Please help.

I have windows vista hp and am having problems finding downloaded screensaver files? I went to screensavers toolbar icon. Used it and was taken to "Popularscreensavers" . I then proceded to download 3d animated screensavers, watched them download to "my screensavers" The download was confirmed. I then went to my desktop and found only the sample screensavers that came with my computor. I am missing a stepp or something? I am as new to this as this vista op system is . How do i get my screensaver files from " My Screensavers" to run on my desktop. when im not online... I am new to this so please someone explain in plane earth english like"first click this and then that" The help is well apreciated. I have been on the phone with microsoft who will not give me an answer as they do not give tech support advice for thereown operating system and keep telling me to call the manufacturer of my computor!!!!
