Download Windows Vista sound pack, screensavers, wallpapers etc. for FREE? Because of my low system specifications, I asked my friend on how to experience Windows Vista in just 512MB of RAM. He advised me to install a lite edition of Vista, which he provided me a CD with. The installation is successful, and the system generally ran fast, it's like I'm running on 2GB of RAM. Going back to the topic, from the word itself, "LITE", some screensavers, sound packs (including start sound and log-off sound), wallpaper, cursors, etc. are deleted. I checked my left space in my hard drive and I could say it's in the safe level to add these perks regarding Windows Vista. My question is, where can I download this stuff for FREE, and how or where in my PC should I paste/put it? I am currently running Windows Vista Home Premium x32. I'm using windows vista, and its only letting me add 1 screen saver, and when ever I try to install a new one, it leaves the old ones in place but removes the last one I added. Like there is a software called StyleXP for Windows XP, isn't there something similar for Vista? With StyleXP, you can put 3rd party visual styles, login screens, explorer bar sets, icon sets, screensavers, themes, etc all for Windows XP. The windows vista I have says its home premium (doesnt mention lite at all) but I am missing disc defragment, all the games, all the screensavers/wallpapers etc. What I did was, downloaded a torrent of it and used my cd key. I lost the cd, downloading it but using my own key is not illegal, right? Is their a way I can upgrade or anything? Windows Vista issues? Hello, I'm having two slightly annoying but relatively small problems with Vista. I'm on an HP TX2z or whatever, touch screen tablet laptop. My issues are that even with all my User Account security things, screensavers, and battery vs. plugged in power options things turned to "keep my screen on at all times" my computer screen still goes black and it takes me back to the welcome screen after 10 minutes away. WHY? I can't watch any movies on my computer, it's very frustrating to have to keep moving the mouse every 9 minutes 59 seconds. The other thing is that my mouse cursor will jump all over my screen eratically every so often. Don't know why as this cna happen whether I'm touching the mouse pad or not, or even if I'm using a wireless mouse whether I'm touching it or not. Anyone got anything to say to help me. These are pretty minor annoyances but they can be very frustrating. Thank you for your help. - Phil

I have a dmg file. Is it possible to convert or somehow open it in Windows Vista? The file is a screensaver. It's a super oldtiem screensaver that I remember watching on my band instructor's Mac instead of listening to him. X3 Wondering if there is any way to run it on Windows. windows vista home premium computer question? My hubby "purposely" locked the computer. He says he never,but i know he did,since hes the only effin idiot jerk who was the last to use the computer. Im no dummy and a computer just doesnt lock itself....unless we have a ghost. Graphics Display Driver Errors? I have a Windows Vista laptop (Hp 2600 Series) and for some reason I have problems with my "Graphics Display Driver" or so my display settings say. My laptop can't play any of the Vista screensavers and it won't let me play games neither, if my computer goes to screensaver mode theres an error that says: "The screensaver can't run because it requires a newer video card or one that's compatible with Direct3D" This all just started yesterday, i accidently clicked a combination of buttons (near the left crtl and alt buttons and/or numbers on the number pad). Then my display turned black and my screen got enlarged, so i clicked "alt tab" to get my display back correctly. So, i went to personalize > display settings to see what was up with my screen. The resolution used to be 1024x768 (or 1280x1024) but in the picture its listed as -1 by -1 pixels. I can't change the resolution, color, nor anything else if its on option 1 - "1.) Generic PnP Monitor on Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family" If i remember correctly, shouldn't it have the name on my graphics card listed somewhere on Option 1? Hey everybody-New guy-Where to get screen-savers without the worry of spy-ware and the red flags? Where ever i look for screensavers or wallpaper my McAfee keeps putting up red flags and warnings. Does anyone know the path to where I can copy a .scr file so I can use my new screensaver? it is not a virus I trust the source, I can't seem to find the folder that all the screensavers are in. With the older versions of Windows there was a folder that you could paste the file into and it would show up on the drop down menu; unfortunately, I can't locate this folder in Vista. free awesome screensaver for cat lovers!!!? From one cat lover to another, I've been searching high and low for an appropriate screen saver for my new computer. I saw a fellow cat person that had crawling cats move across the regular desktop hitting toys and yarn across the screen and eating out of bowls. I thought it was the cutest thing in the world. Screensaver Won't Come On At All? I have Windows Vista and I recently redid my computer, but now my screensaver won't come on, no matter which one it is, or how long it is. I don't have a password on log-in enabled either. Even if I don't have any program I'm manually running at the time, my screensaver won't come on. Vista transformation pack ruined my desktop!!!!!Plzzz help? I installed a software named vista transformation pack and it changes the following things in my windows:- 1 It changd my wallpaper and screensaver 2 It changd the windows log in and shutdown screen 3 Changd my icons and toolbar 4 Changd my mouse 5 Changed start menu and toolbar When i restarted my computer so that it get's refreshed properly, i did'nt luk gud to ma eyes, so i decided to uninstall it. When i installed it thought to uninstall all it's components except the wallpapers and screensavers (bcuz i liked those) and after uninstallation process was complete i saw that everything came back to normal except the start menu and the icons. I hate the icons and start menu so i wanna delete those too you have any suggestions how to delete it? How do I download a new video card? I've checked Toshiba several times, and I've found nothing. I have an extended warranty w/ best buy, should I just let them fix it for free? I can't change my screen resolution, trust me I've tried.

Can someone please tell me how to open it a make it my screen saver on Windows Vista step-by-step? To Sapphire: I didnt ask for your opinion because if i did it would have been in the question. Im a true Twilight fan and i think the story line is amazing. Maybe if you read the books and watch the movie you will learn to appreciate it more. Major problem with computer... Graphics? Basically, i have a windows Vista which I bought around six months ago now. Up till just about a week ago, everything was fine. Then suddenly one day i see that the screensavers aren't running and a message has popped up saying that the computer needs a better graphics card than the one it has. But i know it has a top of the range graphics card and anyway, the screensavers were working fine before. Then just a few days ago, the screen went all wide and funny. What i mean is that it was suddenly wide and the graphics weren't as nice. Funny thing was that the wallpaper on my screen was the same but the icons and all the programs seemed distorted. Changing the resolution didn't bring it back to the way it was. Finally, today, when i put a game that i haven't played in a while in my computer ( fifa 08), which i have played extensively on this computer just a couple of weeks ago, it says it needs a 'Hardware Graphics aceleration'. Please what is wrong and how do i fix it. I just want to add that there's been nothing wrong with the graphics card until a week or so ago. Before then, it did absolutely everything that i wanted it to.

Computer help regarding screensavers? Just now i install a screensaver which i downloaded from vistaknowledge.com , and when i try to install the screensaver, it say that the product has to close, and i do not think its properly installed, so i went to check it up in the add and remove programme, i did not see the software there, so i thought it was not install at all, but now whenever i check it on the screensaver, it still shows there and i do not know how to remove it, So im seeking everybody's help to help me to remove this things, oh just in case its needed, the screensaver is called, productred, i suppose the screensaver is meant for vista thats why it failed to install in my window using XP.

Just what exactly is Famv4? I have quite a funny situation. Every now and then, windows gives me a blue screen of death, where it says that Famv4 caused the problem. Upon googling, I have found that that it is a virus. Ironically, that was all I was able to find, as there are no explanations of what it does, or how to remove it. One website mentioned that it was a virus written for windows 95/98. I am currently using Vista. It is possible that I got infected with a virus for windows 95/98, as I was recently reliving nostalgia, and installing some software that i had since 9 years ago (screensavers, and some other soft). Before anyone asks why would I do such a thing, the explanation is simple. I was looking if there was anything I could add to www.oldapps.com. It is possible that one of those software titles had a virus Basically, the only explanation that I can come up with is that I have a virus built for 98 installed on vista, and it is crashing because of compatibilty issues. Can anyone tell me how to remove it, or at least suggest how I can add it to vista compatibility mode? :P I am joking of course, as I find this premise quite hilarious, but seriously, what does it do, and how can i remove it?

Logging Off Overnight? I have Vista Home Premium, but instead of putting my computer to sleep overnight (I can't stand the blinking light), I will either shut it down altogether or simply log off of Windows and let it stay on the login screen. I had a couple of concerns about this: 1. When you completely log off of Vista, does any part of the OS continue to run, or are most of the resources that are used freed up after you've logged off? In other words, are the majority of the processes being run turned off after you log off? I assume that all internet/network connections shut off, because everytime I log in, I can see in the system tray that the network icon is not connected to the internet until a few seconds later. 2. Is there any way to disable the default Vista screensaver that comes on automatically after 10 min. of inactivity at the login screen? Disabling/changing screensavers must be done from the desktop, but obviously if you're not logged in as any user ... then you can't access those options from the login screen interface.
